걸그룹 피에스타가 사랑과 이별을 겪으며 느끼는 여자의 섬세한 감정을 담아낸 두 번째 미니앨범 < A Delicate Sense >로 1년만에 컴백한다.
멤버 예지가 여자 래퍼 서바이벌 프로그램 ‘언프리티 랩스타’를 통해 카리스마 넘치는 랩 실력으로 걸크러쉬를 일으키기 시작한 데 이어 차오루가 예능 대세로 떠오르며 대중들의 주목을 한껏 받고 있는 걸그룹 피에스타가 두 번째 미니앨범 [A Delicate Sense]를 가지고 대중들 곁으로 찾아왔다.
지난 해 첫 번째 미니앨범 [Black Label]을 발매하며 한층 더 업그레이드 된 음악과 비쥬얼로 이미지 변신을 시작한 피에스타는 타이틀 곡 ‘짠해’에서 호소력 넘치는 보컬과 완성도 넘치는 의자 퍼포먼스를 선보이며 단번에 이목을 사로잡았다.
두 번째 미니앨범 [A Delicate Sense]는 [Black Label]에서 선보인 고혹적이고 세련미 넘치는 Sad Sexy 컨셉의 연장선으로 총 5곡으로 완성되었다.
프로듀서 최갑원을 시작으로 한상원, 서재우, 손영진, 이채규, Sam Lewis, CJ, 이기, 용배 등 대한민국 최고의 히트 메이커 군단이 앨범 작업에 참여하여 한층 더 업그레이드된 완성미를 뽐낸다. 뿐만 아니라 작곡작사에 혜미, 작사 및 랩메이킹에 린지와 예지가 참여하는 등 피에스타 멤버들의 한층 활발해진 송메이킹 참여는 1여년간의 준비 기간 동안의 노력을 더욱 빛나게 한다. 타이틀 곡 ‘Mirror’는 이별을 경험한 후 느끼는 슬픈 감정을 노래하는 Synth Pop 장르의 곡이다. 실연의 아픔을 폭발적으로 터뜨리지 않고 잔잔한 듯 표현해 내지만 거울 속 비친 자신의 솔직한 모습을 바라보며 느끼는 솔직한 감정을 사실적으로 담아낸 가사와 멤버들의 매력적인 보컬 속에서 애절함과 섹시함이 느껴진다.
엔틱한 분위기 속에서 한층 더 고혹적인 매력을 연출해 낸 타이틀 곡 ‘MIRROR’의 뮤직비디오는 강렬한 색감과 강한 컨트라스트 대비를 통해 곡에서 느껴지는 고급스러운 섹시미를 가득 표현해냈다. 괜찮은 듯 웃고 있지만 거울 속 비친 자신의 모습에는 이별에 슬퍼하고 여전히 받아들이지 못하고 있는 이질적인 모습이 투영되어 가사의 애절함을 더한다.
