생기발랄 컴백에 나선 소녀들의 세 번째 미니앨범 [REFRESH]
크리스탈처럼 맑고 투명한 소녀들, 크리스탈 클리어 ‘CLC’가 세 번째 미니 앨범 [REFRESH]로 돌아왔다. 지난 해 ‘PEPE’, ‘Eighteen’, ‘궁금해’까지 앙큼 발랄한 매력으로 신인 걸그룹 홍수 속 보석같은 존재감을 드러낸 CLC는 광고계는 물론 예능, OST 등 다방면에서 활약하며 그 동안 탄탄한 실력과 내공을 쌓아왔다. 이후 2016년, 약 9개월만에 새 앨범으로 컴백에 나서는 CLC는 오디션 서바이벌 ‘프로듀스 101’ 출연으로 이름을 알린 신예 권은빈과 홍콩출신 글로벌 멤버 엘키(ELKIE)를 전격 영입, 7인조로 팀을 개편해 ‘대세 걸그룹’ 도약을 위한 새로운 변화를 시도한다.
CLC의 미니 3집 [REFRESH]는 다가오는 봄, 일곱 소녀들의 생기 가득한 변신을 담아낼 5개 수록 곡들로 꽉 채워졌다. 타이틀곡으로 낙점된 '예뻐지게'는 하이힐 하나로 자신감이 ‘업’된 소녀들의 모습을 사랑스러운 시각과 가사로 풀어낸 레트로 풍 댄스 곡. 스타 프로듀서 이현승이 작곡을, 대세 작곡가로 자리매김한 이기와 노주환이 공동 작사를 맡은 이 곡은 세련된 레트로 사운드와 반복되는 후렴구가 연신 기분 좋은 중독성을 선사한다. 또한 일곱 멤버가 만들어내는 청량한 보이스 조합과 함께 귀여운 발 동작의 포인트 안무는 ‘앙큼돌’ CLC의 활기찬 해피 에너지를 발산하며 오감을 자극한다. 뮤직비디오 역시 비비드 컬러 조합 속 사랑스런 핀업걸 스타일로 변신한 CLC의 상큼 발랄한 변신을 담고 있다.
